Hello! My name is Brandon Rains (or Brains for short).
I am an Illustrator who loves watching children’s cartoons and listening to Broadway musical soundtracks semi-obsessively. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BFA in Arts & Technology and BA in Cinema Studies. I am currently living in Brooklyn, NY helping people tell their stories as a freelance illustrator and continuing to learn as much as I can about art and storytelling.
One could classify me as a bit of a goofball. I am the youngest of four boys and the only artist in a sea of scientists and teachers. While my brothers learned about chemical bonds, I drew cartoon characters and joined the drama club. Though, it is safe to say we are all a bunch of nerds.
I think we all have important stories to tell and share with the world. Perhaps us nerds and goofballs can make some sense of it all. Let’s create stories together!
